Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and worked in the biopharmaceutical industry for many years before changing career paths. After being diagnosed with breast cancer and secondary lymphedema in 2011, she discovered how crucial regular manual lymph drainage was to her overall lymphedema management plan. She felt so strongly about its benefits to those dealing with lymphedema that she decided to pursue lymphedema therapy as a career. For the first stop on this path, Lisa attended the Western North Carolina School of Massage in Asheville, where she fell in love with the ability of massage to soothe the body as well as the mind. The next step toward her goal led to The Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy, where she received her certification for lymphedema therapy.

 

Lisa has also completed lymphatic drainage courses at The Chikly Health Institute and is a Modern Cupping Therapy Certified Practitioner.

After spending many years in Boston and the San Francisco Bay Area, Lisa has been calling Durham home since 2006.
